Immediate form of paired t-test

Hi!

Is there an immediate form of paired t-test in stata?

Not that I know of.

Recall that the paired t-test cannot be computed from summary statistics of the two (matched) groups alone. It requires the mean of the differences on the observational level and its standard deviation. My guess is that this kind of information is not usually available without also having access to observational level data.

If you need this for a meta-analysis, you can ask the authors of the specific paper. That happens with me and it worked just great.
