Dear all
I am trying to compute a transitional matrix using household panel data over 3 waves: 2009, 2011 and 2013. The 3 waves are combined into one file. On a specific variable, I would like to find out whether the household made use of fertilizer in 2009 vs. 2013. Hence, the matrix is as follow: no:no (continuous non-users) ; no:yes (adopters) ; yes;no (dis-adopters) & yes;yes (continuous users). Since this is a panel data set with unique household identities over all three waves, I am stuck on the correct approach/syntax to compute this (hence, I need to design the approach that I create a conditional variable where I ask: did the HH use in 2008 ; did the same HH use in 2013?). Thereafter I will apply the HH weights to compute the matrix.
Any thoughts or assistance will be much appreciated. I am still quite new in using the software. Thank you so much.
