  • Confirmation that the p-value calculated for "iri" command is Fisher's exact p please?

    Dear Stata List,
I would be very grateful if you could confirm my assumption that the p-value calculated for use with the immediate command "iri" (incidence rate ratio) is Fisher's exact p.

The Stata output indicates "exact" but the documentation doesn't specifically state that it is Fisher's p, although the documentation for "cs" (cohort studies) has "exact" (Fisher's exact p) as an optional alternative to the default chi-square p.

    Thank you in advance,
    Dora Pearce

According to the Stata Manual, no, it is an exact test, but not Fisher's. Only the commands cs, csi, cc, and cci with the - exact - option provides Fisher's exact test.
    Best regards,
