Dear All,

Could you please give me some hands-on experience about the value I choose when I use winsor command? When shall I use p(0.05) (0.02) (0.01)? Actually, I met all of these three
threshold values before, but it did not explain why they choose p(0.01) p(0.02) or p(0.05).

That's part of the problem. The procedure is arbitrary. How pessimistic do you want to be about your data?

Thank you Nick. Actually I am reading stata programming book these days, and find that sometimes it uses p (0.01), sometimes p (0.02) and p (0.05). That's why my question comes up.
