  • plotting confidence intervals

    Dear all,
i am trying to examine confidence interval plots over age groups for prevalence of alcohol intake. hypetension and Obesity.
can one have the three chats below into one? i am studying the contrasts and similarities of the charts

ciplot alcohol, binomial jeffereys by (agegrp)
ciplot hypertense, binomial jeffereys by (agegrp)
ciplot obese, binomial jeffereys by (agegrp)

ciplot is from SSC, as you are asked to explain (FAQ Advice #12). The help file gives examples showing that multiple variables can be specified with the by() option. So this is legal:

    Code:
    webuse nlswork
    ciplot collgrad not_smsa c_city, by(south) binomial jeffreys
but the ordering may not be what you want. Note the correct spelling jeffreys The help file also carries this advice:

    Remarks

    (note added August 2011)

For fuller flexibility, consider using statsby first and then standard graphics commands (Cox 2010).

Cox, N.J. 2010. Speaking Stata: The statsby strategy. Stata Journal 10: 143-151.
