We conducted three public opinion survey on various environmental issues with several Likert scale measures. The surveys happened different periods. I am starting to analyze the data. I would like to know how to calculate the margin of error for the full sample, confidence interval, etc. Can we also estimate the margin of error for different sub groups like for age groups, gender, etc.
