I wonder if it is possible to use either mkspline or splinegen to construct a restricted cubic spline with a linear restriction on the right side. I need to be able to specify the location of the knots (theory). I have read Orsini and Greenland (SJ 2011) and know how to construct it using a Plus function but the terms are very highly correlated and become unstable in a regression. I can impose boundary restrictions in splinegen but there does not seem to be an option to define the knot location. Any suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks.
