up-to-date geocode commands

I am looking for a command that would help me to geocode ~1,200 addresses (street,city,state,zip) in a Stata dataset. SSC has a geocode command, which geocodes using the Google and Yahoo APIs, but it appears that the geocode is out of date. I see discussion online of an updated command called geocode3, but I can't find it at SSC or anywhere else. There are alternative commands such as gocode and geocodehere, but they're not as easy to use and they don't rely on Google's free API.

Is there any updated version of geocode somewhere? It looks like a very useful command.

opencagegeo seems to work.
