I have tried installing prvalue in my stata 13. no luck. is it obsolete, does it have a new version? it is for predicted values of the ordinal logit model.
thank you
No special programs need to be downloaded to do this in Stata version 13. The official -margins- command does it, if you used factor-variable notation when you ran your model. See -help margins- and -help fvvarlist-.
prvalue is part of the old Long and Freese spost9 suite of commands, which has been superseded by spost13 (findit spost13_ado). mtable is the successor to prvalue.
Clyde is right that the margins command is far superior to the old prvalue command. However, the spost13 commands still have a number of great features; many of the commands are basically shells for margins, which simplify tasks and produce nicer looking output. This is especially true for ologit in Stata 13, since in Stata 13 you have to issue a separate margins command for each outcome. mtable is much easier, and even with Stata 14 I like it because of the way it formats things.
