Having trouble downloading file to disk from www.stata-press.com/data/itsus

Just bought Sean Becketti's Time Series Analysis Book. I entered the following STATA commands on the command line


net from http://www.stata-press.com/data/itsus/

net get itsus_files

I GOT THE FOLLOWING ERROR MESSAGE.


cannot write in directory
r(603);


I'm using Mac OS X El Capitan version 10.11.1

Any Mac OS user who know how to fix this one?

Change your current working directory to one where you have permissions to write: help cd

Hi I'm a statalist newbie so apologies but couldn't find any answer to the query below in FAQs

I also just bought this book Beceketti Intro to Time Series.

I have Stat 17 in windows 11 and some commends need updating - mainly fine if I am familiar - but I have become stuck so far - with two -
1) I can't access the use ${ITSUS_DATA}/wbdata getting a message file /wbdata.dta not found r(601)
and
2) on p105 it provides

. foreach smoother in h 3 3h h3 9 {
2. tssmooth n1 S~smoother~ = rawtrend, smoothr ("smoother")
3. }

and

tssmooth n1 Sh = rawtrend, smoother (h)

in each case, I get

n1 is not a valid smoother

No doubt it is some simple error but as I dont know what it is, any advice v welcome! Maybe there is somewhere else I can find queries & responses for this book?
