Diogo Pereira, I never said it affected me personally, but was trying to push back on the idea so there would be potentially some understanding of the reasons why Stata would or would not do something like this. I've actually suggested that some form of dependency management like Maven might be a useful addition to the realm of user contributed packages as well. There are many competing needs on the time of the developers at StataCorp and if we are unable to provide a compelling reason why a request would benefit the broadest segment of the user community it is unlikely to be adopted. Bear in mind, however, that while you discussed the difficulty you faced setting things up with the build tool that you use, you've not shared what you did so others who may also be interested in using Gradle could learn from your experience.
