This issue is different from #102900 and #103010. Do not mark as duplicate.
It is possible to crash Stata when the dialog get's detached from the backing class. Stata issues an unnumbered "not an array" error message and collapses:
Windows detects this and automatically switches to 'compatibility mode for older applications'.
Repro steps are available for developers and not shown here.
