time and treatment

I regress multilevel model xtmelogit y x i.time*i.treat, || school: x, the result shows the interaction between time and treat is statistically significant, but when I run the model including i.time and i.treat, the interaction tend to be insignificant. What should I do to have significant interaction in presence of time and treat in the model.
