I ran a tobit regression for bull semen prices as a function of certain bull attributes. My data is heavily censored and bunches at $0, so I read the command bctobit is appropriate to test for the specification of the model.
The error that comes up is type mismatch r(109)
this is the definition in the help box for the r(109) error:
[P] error . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Return code 109
type mismatch
In an expression, you attempted to combine a string and numeric
subexpression in a logically impossible way. For instance, you
attempted to subtract a string from a number or you attempted
to take the substring of a number.
*Attempted other test commands but similar issues ensued.
I am new to this test command, but I had not strung any of my variables so I don't know how to get around it. Thanks.
